In an important step towards the continuation of Lebenshilfe Freie Alten- und Nachbarschaftshilfe gGmbH (\u201cFAN\u201d), insolvency administrator Prof. Dr. Dirk Andres from the supra-regional insolvency and restructuring law firm AndresPartner has transferred the business operations of the nursing service operating in the southern Ennepe-Ruhr district to the outpatient nursing service dreizett Plus. The transaction includes all essential assets of FAN, in particular the operating and business equipment, economic goods, and consumables of the Gevelsberg, Ennepetal, and Schwelm locations, as well as the care and domestic services, the menu service, and the housing advice service.<\/p>\r\n

With this step, the insolvency administrator secures the economic continuity of the nursing operation and around 100 jobs at FAN. The economic transfer is scheduled to take place during the month of September 2024. The transfer was made possible by the consulting company \r\n stark<\/span>\r\n partners<\/span>\r\n<\/strong> from Meerbusch, which conducted a targeted search for an acquiring nursing service. <\/p>\r\n

“We are very pleased to have found an acquiring nursing service in dreizett Plus and its managing directors Marco and Gabriele Landolfo, who know the nursing sector and the region very well. The cooperation with dreizett Plus and the support of the FAN management were crucial for the transfer, and I am confident that the regional nursing service has a promising future ahead of it,” says attorney and restructuring expert Prof. Dr. Dirk Andres. <\/p>\r\n

Together with his team and the management, he had ensured that FAN was able to maintain its business operations without restrictions despite the challenges of the insolvency proceedings. This success was due not least to the dedicated efforts of all key stakeholders, ensuring that the care and support of people in need of care could continue without any restrictions even during the proceedings. <\/p>\r\n

The employees were informed today about the current status and the further procedure.<\/p>\r\n

Background:<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

According to the management, the insolvency application was largely due to the current structural crisis in the nursing sector. The blatant shortage of skilled workers and the increase in costs due to inflation and the wage increases introduced by law in September 2022, which, despite many efforts, could no longer be adequately financed, made daily business more difficult. On May 25, 2024, Lebenshilfe Freie Alten- und Nachbarschaftshilfe gGmbH then filed for the opening of insolvency proceedings. On August 1, 2024, the responsible district court in Hagen opened the insolvency proceedings and appointed Prof. Dr. Dirk Andres from the supra-regional insolvency and restructuring law firm AndresPartner as insolvency administrator. He was also the provisional insolvency administrator in the company. <\/p>\r\n

The Freie Alten- und Nachbarschaftshilfe gGmbH (\u201cFAN\u201d) was founded as an association in 1986. After the association was dissolved in 2019, the established and reliable nursing service in the southern Ennepe-Ruhr district for decades was able to find Lebenshilfe as a sponsoring organization in the Ennepe-Ruhr district, which continues the operation of the nursing service under the same name as a non-profit GmbH.
