The M team of starkpartners consulting GmbH was able to successfully complete the distressed M project, despite a very difficult market environment and the COVID19 situation. In close coordination with the insolvency administrator, Mr. Attorney Dr. Dirk Andres from the law firm AndresPartner, all essential assets of the company could be sold to the investment company from Hamburg as part of an asset deal. CE Capital Partners GmbH is the new owner of the manufacturer of high-quality iron castings. The current business operations are expected to be transferred on October 1, 2020.

Thanks to the pronounced restructuring expertise of the insolvency administrator, comprehensive operational measures could be taken, which enabled all stakeholders involved to complete the M process quickly and purposefully. Starkpartners succeeded in placing five interested parties in a bidding process in a 10-week investor process.

CE Capital prevailed against several competitors with its strategic concept. The people involved are relieved by the solution with CE Capital and are now looking ahead so that the foundry company can be stabilized in the long term and returned to profitability. This includes, among other things, investments in the existing machinery equipment park as well as a continued optimization of the planning and manufacturing processes. Nicolas Neumann, Managing Director of CE Capital Beteiligungsgesellschaft, is sustainably convinced of Walter Hundhausen GmbH and sees enormous economic potential in the workforce and the current management.

Starkpartners was able to professionally lead the international investor search to success in coordination with all persons involved. All parties involved have agreed to maintain confidentiality about the economic framework conditions and the purchase price. This continuation solution was only possible thanks to the good cooperation with all stakeholders, including the employment agency, the credit insurers, the customers, as well as the representatives of the works council and IG Metall.
