Starkpartners Consulting GmbH Accompanies Successful Acquisition of S.I.G. By Bechtle AG

consulting GmbH is pleased to announce the successful acquisition of s.i.g. System Informations Gesellschaft mbH by Bechtle AG. This significant transaction was successfully implemented with the expert support of our partner, Alexander Kögel.

s.i.g. System Informations Gesellschaft mbH, an established IT system house based in Neu-Ulm with further locations in Erfurt and Jena, was founded in 1997. In the past financial year, the company generated a turnover of 25.4 million euros and currently employs 50 people. s.i.g. is characterized by a comprehensive portfolio in the field of IT system solutions, which includes both classic workplace and server & storage solutions as well as specialized “Industrial IT” contract manufacturing.

With this acquisition, Bechtle is significantly strengthening its market position in the Ulm region and expanding its range to include customized IT infrastructures and networks for production environments. The integration of s.i.g. into the Bechtle Group is a strategic step to further advance Bechtle’s growth targets in the attractive economic region around Ulm.

Bechtle is planning to build a new IT campus in the immediate vicinity of the Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences, which is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2026. The modern location will offer space for up to 300 employees and enable the integration of s.i.g. and other Bechtle companies under one roof.

As part of the acquisition, Guido Fetzer, the founder and previous managing director of s.i.g., will continue to work for the company. Together with co-managing director Eugen Straub and the existing management team, he will ensure continuity in customer support. The name s.i.g. will be retained for the time being to ensure a smooth transition for customers and partners.

The takeover is still subject to approval by the antitrust authorities. Details on the financial terms and the purchase price have been kept confidential.
