and the insolvency administrator Prof. Dr. Dirk Andres from AndresPartner, Sauerländer Werkzeugfabrik Raskopf has been successfully restructured and transferred to the Krey family business in Koblenz. The economic transfer is scheduled for December 1, 2024.
With the acquisition, Krey secures the operating property in Hagen as well as all essential assets of the Sauerland tool factory, including the technical equipment, machines and all business and production resources. Krey is also taking over all 50 employees at the Hagen site, which will be continued in full and at the previous location. This secures a long-term perspective for the company and the jobs on site.
“We are very pleased to have found an experienced and reliable successor for the Sauerland tool factory in the Krey family”, says lawyer and restructuring expert Prof. Dr. Dirk Andres. With his team, he had stabilized business operations since the insolvency application and continued them without restriction. The successful transfer is thanks in particular to the high level of commitment of the employees, who have always stood by the company throughout the entire process.

Background:
Raskopf GmbH Sauerländer Werkzeugfabrik filed for the opening of insolvency proceedings in July 2024 due to economic difficulties. The proceedings were opened on September 1, 2024 and Prof. Dr. Dirk Andres was appointed as insolvency administrator. Since its foundation in 1923, the Sauerland tool factory has established itself as a leading company in the field of tool and mold making with a special focus on the production of ingot molds for aluminum casting. In 2023, the company generated sales of around 6.5 million euros.
